Nutcracker and a Jazz Game

This weekend we took a trip down to Utah for some family time. I wanted to go and see the Nutcracker so I invited my mom and sister for a girls weekend, which turned into an extended family girls night, which turned into the guys all going to a Jazz game so Grandma and Grandpa could see the grandbabies. There was a winter storm warning and we were afraid we wouldn't make it but the roads were only bad for a little bit. We played some games, tormented Aunt Char's kitty, ate holiday pancakes, and did some shopping. A babysitter watched the boys while all the grownups went out for dinner. Luke, Lindsey and I were a little early for dinner and we had to wonder in the rain for a while until the restaurant opened. We found a skating rink and took our picture by the giant Christmas tree (pretty much like Rockefeller Center, right?). After dinner the guys and the girls went our separate ways. More walking in the rain. We were all pretty drenched when we got where we were going. The ballet was beautiful and magical, the Jazz won the game so it was a fun night. All that rain was snow in the mountains so we weren't sure we'd be able to make it home. It was slow going but we made it just fine. Jax was pretty excited to get out and help Luke gas up the car and wash the window. Anything to get out of the car seat!
