Reunion

This last week(end) Luke had his extended family reunion in Idaho so he decided we should spend the whole week. We got all packed up for a long ride in the car. Jax had his glasses and his puppy and was good to go.
We spent a day at my parents house to break up the drive. Grandma was loving grandbaby time.
Luke and Jax enjoying a bowl of ice cream on National Ice Cream Day. Any excuse to eat ice cream.
We met Philip, Andrea, and her kids at Roaring Springs to spend the day on Monday. Jax loved going down the little water slide with a tube. He did it over and over. It was only for kids under 36 inches so I had to send him down then speed walk down and try to catch him before he floated away. Over and over. I was definitely getting my exercise in. Luke got to go with Caleb and Kelsey on the big rides for a while before switching off with me. At the end of the day Grandpa watched the kids for a little bit so Luke and I could ride a few together. We were having so much fun these were the only pictures we took right as we were walking out. Some delicious dinner at Olive Garden finished up our day.

The next few days we just hung out at Luke's parent's house and played with the kids. Luke finally got to play the new game he got for Father's Day. Kelsey was great playing with Ryker. Jax loved chasing after the big kids, and most of all loved riding the four-wheeler with Dad.

We made it to the reunion Thursday evening, set up our tent, and hung out with family. There was crazy rain and wind for the next two nights. Lots of thunder the first night as well. Needless to say we did not get a lot of sleep. There was a lot of food, a family style Amazing Race, and some swimming that was cut short by some poo in the kiddie end of the pool.
Jaxon was freezing so we were just hanging out on the side with Great-Grandma while the basketball game was going on. He kept saying "Want to go home."
Enjoying some smores. Jax kept trying to blow out the fire and was telling me it was too big. He was pretty fascinated by the fire.

Luke was pretty excited he could get a group together for a couple of rounds of paintball.
Our last day we played at a giant slip and slide. Jax was a little wary the first time down but then he thought it was pretty awesome. He went down with Dad, Mom, and by himself. Even Ryker got his turn. I couldn't tell if he liked it or not.

Someone was holding a kitten and Jax was in love. Someday we might have to break down and get him one of his own.
On our way home. Ryker has decided he hates the car seat so I get to ride in the back with my boys. Not so comfortable but Jax has decided he likes to hold my arm and I love it. I did not love that Luke didn't tell me my hair looked like this!
Upon returning home we learned that a sickness was sweeping those who attended the Stringham reunion. The pukes. Fun! I was waiting to see if it would make it to our house. Luke came home from work Monday afternoon but didn't actually puke and I hoped that would be the end of it. On Friday it hit Jax. He had just woken up from his nap and was snuggling me on the couch as I was eating my lunch. I had given him his gummy vitamin and gave him a bite of my yummy zucchini and squash. Then he started to gag and there is hot pink puke in my delicious looking lunch. It took every ounce of strength I had not to add to it. I do not do puke. He threw up 6 times (2 times in a bowl, 3 times on the couch, and one time on the floor). We all survived!
