Road-trippin to Jackson. Jax loves his red glasses (or mine. Luke's are boring black and he won't wear them) and he prefers them upside-down. This cute boy has some strong opinions. My parents had some car troubles but finally made it up Thursday evening. Lindsey is still recovering from her hip surgery and the boys had other plans so we were a pretty low key party.
Andrea and Derek were in town so we met them and the kids for a hike around Jenny Lake. It was fun to see these cute kids. They are getting so big, especially baby Hailey. She was walking all over the place. Jax was having a great time chasing after Caleb and Kelsey.
Caleb needed a drink break so everyone stopped along the trail. I was holding Ryker so I walked ahead a little ways to sit on a rock. I saw this guy walking along the trail and kind of smiled at him as he passed us, then totally did a double take. It was Zachary Quinto, the actor who plays Spock in the new Star Trek, complete with Spock eyebrows! He gave me a nod like, yeah I'm him but please let me enjoy my hike. My third celebrity siting. Of course no one else saw him and I don't think they really believed me. I had just had a Star Trek marathon so I was absolutely sure.
We made it to Hidden Falls all hot and sweaty but what a view! As we were headed to get onto the ferry for the return trip Luke saw Zachary Quinto as well and finally believed me.
It took Luke and I a little longer to get through the park so we got there right around nap time. We had two sleepy boys.
My three favorite guys :) Luke is a great daddy.
After our long hike we headed to the pool. Jax is our little daredevil and recruited two other boys to keep jumping into the kiddie pool.
Loving playing outside and not getting eaten by mosquitoes!
Jax and Grandma waiting for the fireworks to start watching Wreck-It-Ralph. He calls this movie "I don't want to be a bad guy."
We were able to watch the fireworks right off our balcony two nights in a row. The first night we put the boys to bed and let them sleep. For the 4th Jax got to stay up. After the fireworks at DisneyWorld we weren't sure how he would like them. He was both equally fascinated and scared.
