Our little town starts the Christmas season off with a Nativity Celebration. We had planned on going on the night that Luke was singing with the community choir but we got a call that they were trying to get a lot of people to come and support a bell choir so I packed up the boys and Luke met us there after work. Jax really liked looking at all the nativities that were set up. Ryker was pretty mad he couldn't touch anything. They also had a photo booth where you could dress like you were in Bethlehem. I could not even handle how cute our two little shepherds were! So adorable! There was also a children's room set up to look like Bethlehem with tents and palm trees. There was a little table with tools where they could be carpenters. The only way we could drag the boys away was with a cookie. There was a special spirit there and it was a nice way to start celebrating the birth of our Savior.

Christmas Trees
Christmas trees are up! Luke and the boys were stair sliding while I put on the lights and then the boys helped put on the ornaments. Ryker thought his "kitty meow" would like it in the tree. Jaxon really liked the Darth Vader ornament from last year. Grandma also surprised us with a train to go around the tree. Fun for everyone.
Stair Sliding
Since everybody left so soon after Thanksgiving we had plenty of time to be productive the rest of the weekend. I binge watched the new Gilmore Girls before putting up the Christmas decorations and Luke built us some new shelves for our storage room. There were a lot of boxes from the shelves that Luke set up as a slide down the stairs. Jaxon thought it was the best thing ever! Ryker was pretty good just watching. Boxes provided days of entertainment before they went to recycling.
Thanksgiving
We hosted Thanksgiving this year for Luke's family. It was a crazy, short, fun adventure. Andrea, Zach and families got here Wednesday afternoon and Philip and Cindy came Wednesday evening. All the kids had a great time running around causing chaos and loving on Grandma and Grandpa. Thursday morning after a pancake breakfast and getting the turkey cooking we headed over to the high school for a football game. Turns out it was freezing and the little kids weren't having too much fun so we switched to a soccer game (easier to carry kids and kick than catch). Dinner was delicious as was dessert. Pretty soon after dinner everybody started to head out. It was a short visit but always good to see everybody.
Turkey Time at the Library
We had our last library time of the year. The boys danced like a turkey, listened to some Thanksgiving themed books and made a turkey craft.
Courtnie's BDay
One year older and wiser too..Happy Birthday to You! I had a birthday. My parents and brother Brett came to help us celebrate. We didn't do anything too exciting, mostly just hanging out. The weather in November was crazy warm so we took the boys on a walk to the park and enjoyed the day. I picked Chinese food for dinner. Jaxon was so excited to help my mom decorate the cake. Both boys were pretty excited to help me blow out the candles. We had to do that a few times.
I got a couple of shirts and a book(sent from Lindsey in England). Jaxon was more than happy to help me open them.
It took me about a year to pick out a light fixture to go over our dining room table. It's so much pressure! Luke's family was coming for Thanksgiving so I finally bit the bullet and bought one. Luke and Brett put it up for my Birthday. Luke also found super cheap tickets to Paris so booked our flight! I'm so excited! It was a good birthday spent with family.
