The Little Mermaid

This last weekend Jax and I made the oh so long drive down to St. George to see the play The Little Mermaid with my family. Seriously, it was such a long drive and we watched Frozed on repeat with some Tangled thrown in. The play was a lot of fun though. The Tuachahn is an outdoor ampitheater and they had walls of water on the stage that they projected things on. My dad's favorite part was that the mermaids rolled around on segways.
Eric (really Aunt Diana) watched Jax while we were at the play. Eric has grown a scruffy beard and Jax is not a fan. He was kind of scared of him. It was a little funny. On the car ride down from Salt Lake Jax would reach up and give the beard a little tug then turn away really quick. Funny boy.
We girls got some shopping in while the boys were watching the Priesthood session of General Conference. I was on the lookout for a St. George temple picture since that is where we were sealed together as a family. Our first stop was Deseret Book. They didn't have what I was looking for but it was Ladies Night and we ended up getting free bracelets and a delicious cookie. Score for free things :) Lindsey hates Frozen so I made her try on these hats with me.
Aunt Diana had the best toys to play with! Jax loved all the musical instruments. He also loved throwing rocks into her water feature. It seriously entertained him for hours over the weekend.
Jax also started doing a funny new thing. Whenever he gets a little rambunctious we have to remind him to "be nice" to Mommy or Daddy or whoever. Now when he gets mad he says "No! Nice!" telling us to be nice to him and let him have his way. He does not appreciate when we laugh at this. He sure is a cute little stinker and we love him lots!

This weekend was also General Conference. I have discovered that it is much harder to listen when you are trying to keep a toddler occupied so that others can listen. What I heard was a great spiritual uplift and I look forward to listening to it all over again in my quiet times :)
