Top Shooter

The History Channel has a show called Top Shot that Luke thought would be cool to replicate. They do a lot of trick shots and skill shots. He has been trying to convince his dad and brother that they need to make their own Top Shot competition. After a year that finally happened! We met Luke's family with some friends down by Palisades reservoir for our Top Shooter competition. It was freezing cold. It snowed for the first half of the day and the wind was blowing for the second half.

First we shot for teams.

Luke was our host while Zach was the cameraman.

It was red vs. blue. I was on the red team and Luke on the blue.

The first event was friend vs. foe. We had to shoot the orange clay pidgeons without hitting the black ones. The red team rocked this first challenge.

This challenge we had to shoot off the head of a sucker. It was pretty difficult.

In this challenge we had to shoot the balloons up the hill. The blue team started with a good lead but the red team took the win.

This was the slingshot challenge. We had to hit pop cans with Gobstoppers. The blue team wasted the red team.

The crossbow challenge was to shoot an apple off the dummy's head without hitting its head.

My shot was the only one to pierce the apple! Notice the hole in the hat where he was tragically shot by another contestant. Zach and Luke had to take another turn because they couldn't believe I was the only one who did it.

Luke and Jayme were the two finalists in the Top Shooter competition. In the final obstacle course Luke exploded the dummy for the win! He is amazing.
