Our friends are back in town! Brooke and Lydia invited us to go pick raspberries with them this afternoon. The boys and I had a great time. Jaxon chased after the kitty (and caught it once!) and played in the dirt. Ryker followed behind me eating as he went along also eating handfuls from my bucket. We enjoyed fresh raspberries on our German pancakes for dinner tonight. Yum!

First Day of Preschool
This big boy had his first day of preschool today! His teacher is Mrs. Harrison and he wants to be Darth Vader when he grows up. He was a little nervous this morning about going, and I might have bribed him with a candy cane to get him in the car. Once we got there and he saw the other kids he forgot all about me and started playing. Ryker was very mad that he didn't get to stay too. I did love the excited "Mommy!" I got when I went to pick him up. He's the best little guy and I'm so excited I get to watch him grow. Love him so much!
Lagoon Labor Day
After our week of working on the house we took a few days to play with the boys at Lagoon. We stayed at a hotel and swam, ate ice cream, then played the day at the park. The boys had a great time. Every time we took Ryker off a ride he said, "More! More!" My family came to play with us. Grandma and Grandpa watched the kiddos so we could ride the big rides with Brett, Eric, and Lindsey. Either we are just getting old or theme parks are more exhausting with kids but we didn't last as long as I thought. We still had a lot of fun though. It was a nice break after working so hard.
Painting Helpers
Luke took a week off work to help me repaint the house. The boys are such helpy-helpers so I tried to get creative to keep them entertained for at least a little while each day. Movie picnics with popcorn and chocolate milk were the favorite followed by pickles on the front porch. We got the house painted and kept the boys alive. Mom and Dad for the win!

Fair Days
We had a family night out to visit our little fair. Jax and Ryker thought having corndogs for dinner was the best thing ever. After dinner we wondered around looking at the animals. Ryker loved the kitties at the animal shelter booth. Both boys were pretty scared of the sheep and also the big pigs. Jax loved the piglets. They were by far his favorite. Fun times with my boys.
Brett's Graduation
A couple of weekends ago the boys and I drove down to Utah for my brother Brett's graduation. We got to spend the weekend with family, eat in restaurants, and got to shop in real stores :) Congratulations Brett!
I'm pretty sure this was the same pose he did at high school graduation. |
Wiggly boys equals spending the ceremony out in the hall. Fortunately they had TVs so we could sort of watch. |
