Baby Showers

Everyone wanted to show Jax how excited they were for him to be here. The ladies at work threw us a shower, unfortunately it was the same day he got admitted to the hospital so they had the party without us and gave us the presents (they also sent us a picture of the cake they were eating :)).

Next Jax got to meet the Luke's clan. Here he is with Grandma Cindy and meeting his cousin Sadie, born one week after Jax.

Hospital :(

So soon after turning a month old we had our first trip to the hospital. Luke woke up around 2 to feed Jax and thought he felt warm so he took his temperature. 103! Yikes! He was trying to be calm about it so he didn't freak me out but I did a little bit anyways. To the emergency room we went. Because he was so young they ran all the tests to make sure it wasn't meningitis. Spinal tap, UA, chest Xray, and lots of blood work. Poor baby! Once they brought his fever down he was his happy self again.

They kept us in the hospital for 3 days for what turned out to be a UTI. Luke and I took turns staying with him and eating the hospital food. He was a big hit with all the nurses and students because he is so dang cute!

Newborn Pics

We had a friend take some newborn pictures and they turned out great and free :) Jax was a little over 2 weeks old and of course he refused to go to sleep so for most of the pictures he looks sleepy. We are loving being a mommy and daddy!!
